Mark Tiddens of Key Tronic
Corporation in 1982.
Qwerty is still used
to this day.
This layout was devised and created in the early 1870s
by
Christopher Latham Sholes,
a newspaper editor and printer who lived in
Milwaukee.
T and H
is the most
frequently used letter pair
in English.
The longest common English word that can be typed using only the left hand
is stewardesses.
On average,
a
secretary’s left hand does 56% of the typing.
